Your fancy dress party is on Saturday night or maybe in two weeks time…
Need some help to decide what to wear?
There’s still time to pop down the local fancy dress shop for a nurses outfit, a stethoscope and maybe some fake blood. But isn’t there a bit more to this themed party you’re going to?
There could be fifteen nurses there (and maybe a guy in drag) but how can you make yourself stand-out from all the rest? Well we have a few ideas….
1) Make up the ‘story behind the nurse’ and add a few bits to the costume. Maybe you’re an axe wielding patient who escaped from hospital and had to dress up in a nurse’s costume to get away?
2) You could pretend you’re a nurse from a Carry On film, like Barbara Windsor. Practice her giggle and east London accent, don a blonde wig and go out of your way to be that little bit more saucy.
3) There are a whole host of story lines and characters from films and books that you could base yourself on. For example you could be Heath Ledger in Batman when he dressed as – yes you guessed – a hospital nurse before blowing up the entire Hospital in the film. You could strap explosives to your waist and wear complete Joker smile make-up. What an amazingly crazy outfit to wear, shockingly stupendous.
4) The all-time classic ‘sexy nurse’ outfit could be worn with a Gothic or vampire twist for Halloween.
5) For historic reference you could go as Florence Nightingale, and maybe rescue everyone from themselves.
Whatever theme you choose for your nurse outfit idea – be as different as possible. If you’re not different you may as well just go in a plain nurse outfit and blend in with everyone else…
